At a time of tight budgets and costly coaches now is the time to consider on site activities for your school.

How does it work? FAQs and Information.

Single activity experiences

Each of our activities is suitable for up to 150 pupils per day in mainstream schools. Need more? Book additional activities at a discounted price or consider a second day.

Full day activity packages

0-60 pupils.

For 60 pupils or less we would suggest looking at our school packages or asking us about a split day, where for just a little more than the cost of one activity our instructors will run a morning of one activity and an afternoon of another allowing pupils to try more than one activity in a day in a budget friendly way.

We need to consider the amount of set up involved when offering this so would generally ensure that we have a balance. Many of our activities have lots of equipment to move or set up so not all combinations are possible.

60-120 pupils

Our adventure, skills or thrills packages are the most cost efficient way of providing a well rounded set of activities for a full day.

Up to 150 pupils

Each of our activities is suitable for a class of children each hour, which is perfect if you have 5 classes (150 children) or less. Choose 5 of our activities. Tip: stick to activities in the adventure or skills collection for the best value in peak season (may-july)

150-180 pupils

If you have between 150-180 children we could look to reduce our session times from the typical 1 hour to around 45-50mins to create an extra activity slot. By reducing session times, it may be possible to create a day where 6 classes take part 6 activity slots. This wont be possible for all activities.

For most single intake primary schools our usual recommendation would be to stick to 5 activities and 5 year groups. This is because some of our activities are not best suited to the shorter duration or the very youngest children in the school. We do have a selection of activities for younger pupils that can be provided just for them on the same day.

180+

For the best experience we recommend booking more than 1 day of activity or choosing both adventure and skills packages together and having different year groups take part in different activities. While we can cater for full days with large numbers not all pupils would get to take part in all the activities that we bring but we do have duplicates of some.

Bespoke packages

If what you want doesn’t fit in with any of the above don’t worry! Let us know what you are looking to achieve and we’ll find a way to do it. We’ve brought all kinds of ideas into reality before now including giving 1500 pupils an opportunity to try one of our activities in a day, progressive adventure weeks and whole school sports events. We can also provide activities as part of your own package of activities run by you or other providers

Which activities should we have at our school?

It’s important to consider what you are looking to get out of the day. Perhaps it’s to introduce pupils to something new, encourage them to challenge themselves or to work on leadership and teamwork. If you are looking for a day that ticks all of those boxes take a look at our school packages which have been designed to meet a range of outcomes.

Can you help with organising the day?

Yes we can. We work with you to create timetable if needed. It’s worth considering that while we are experts in our activities and will ensure the package you choose is suitable, you will almost certainly know your school much better than us so we will ask for your help with timings.

How much does it cost?

To check availability and pricing with us the best thing to do is to contact us to discuss your school and requirements. Unfortunately we don’t have a price list we can send you as prices will vary a little depending on your location, amount of activities and any discounts we can apply.

Can activities be provided as part of sports premium funding?

Yes. One of the sports premium key indicators is ‘“Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils’’. Full activity days can be organised to provide a range of new experiences and activities to pupils. Our instructors are excellent role models and where possible, for climbing, we bring past and present members of the GB paraclimbing team along for the day.

Why choose us?

We want to bring the opportunity for pupils to build strong teams, engage in challenging activities, grow in confidence and have fun directly to schools.

We’re proud to be a small, family run business that has put education at the heart of what we do. No matter the activity, we want every pupil to get as much out of their time with us as possible.

We want to work with everybody, not just those who can afford it. The high costs of transport and residential sites are stopping pupils from experiencing what taking part in adventurous activities can do. We want to offer an alternative that is affordable to as many people as possible so no pupil is left behind when it comes to trying new things, growing in confidence and improving social skills.

When you contact us we will draw upon our expertise to come up with a package that incorporates any of any aims and objectives you may have, whether it be learning a new skill, improving communication and leadership, working as teams or simply having fun.

Our instructors are what makes us who we are

All of our instructors are employed in accordance with the Department of Education’s 'keeping children safe in education' guidelines. This includes: DBS checks, at least two references, identity checks, and a face-to-face interview.

Our team of professional instructors are experienced in educational settings and know just what to do to get the most out of the participants on our sessions. We provide challenge, encourage those less confident, and actively review and reflect upon the experience.

We’re proud to employ a diverse range of team members including those with disabilities. We regularly have past and present members of the GB paraclimbing team visit schools with us who are often willing to do assembly talks and Q and A’s. Just ask us if you would like us to see if one of the athletes are available.

Bring us to your school.

“On behalf of all the children and staff at St Andrews a huge thank you to you both. We all had such an amazing day and the children gained so much from the experience. We couldn't have wished for a better team to come in and support our children in such a positive and encouraging way. We will certainly give you a call in the future. I know it will be a lasting memory for the children so thank you for helping to make it special”
