Accessible mobile climbing wall - Our most inclusive activity.
Mobile Accessible Climbing
People are often surprised to learn that our most accessible activity is our mobile climbing wall. With a range of adaptive climbing equipment and specialist instructors, we can support participants with a wide variety of needs.
We begin with a short discussion with participants or carers to understand abilities, preferences, and goals. From there we select the equipment and climbing techniques that will provide the safest and most enjoyable experience.
You don’t need to be able to climb to take part and if your aim is to reach the top, we’ll work with you to make that happen if we can.
There is no extra charge for our accessible climbing equipment and we usually bring a basic set of equipment with us to all schools or events we attend so we are as inclusive as we can be.
Who is the activity for?
This activity is aimed at people with a disability that would like to experience climbing. We regularly work with special needs schools, disability charities and at inclusive events.
We do ask that participants bring their own slings if they require them to transfer and we may need use of a sturdy chair or two.

Accessibility
We can support most people to climb including those with visual impairment, reduced mobility and wheelchair users. Because of the changes in risk we may require participants and any people supporting to wear a helmet. Those who require a hoist to transfer can take part but will need to transfer into our system. There would be a short time where individuals are not on a sling or our system and may need physical support during this short stage.
